# 2.3 Introducing the Gold Mining Token

O Gold Mining Token (GMC) is born exactly at the intersection between the traditional and the innovative. It is the link between the earth and the digital, the physical gold and its tokenization value, and between local production and global investment.

Our model is simple yet powerful: we lease underutilized mining areas operated by small producers and implement cutting-edge technological infrastructure. This includes modern machinery, real-time tracking systems, and smart contracts to automate processes and increase productivity.

By tokenizing the value generated by these operations and distributing it through the GMC, we open a new market: a production-backed token, globally accessible, powered by real mining — transparent, traceable, and verifiable.

Mining like never seen before: efficient, decentralized, connected, and fair.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://gold-mining.gitbook.io/whitepaper/2.-introduction/2.3-introducing-the-gold-mining-token.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
